MacQueen Property Solutions was established in 2016.
Although we had owned rental properties for more than 15 years, it wasn’t until 2012 that we realised that property was the answer to owning and building our own successful business. For the next few years, we continued to grow our own portfolio of Buy to Let (BTL) properties. In 2016 Ian left his fulltime career in Engineering to establish MacQueen Property Solutions.
The decision to establish MacQueen Property Solutions was based on our experience of refurbishing our portfolio of BTL properties and the frustrations we encountered trying to find reliable, honest, tidy tradesmen who did the job to a high standard.
Early on in our journey we made the decision to manage our own portfolio of properties in-house and as a result of our MacQueen Property Solutions customers asked us if we could manage their properties as well. They quickly realised the benefit of having a company manage their tenancy as well as manage the upkeep and repairs of their properties.
Following the growth of the Lettings Portfolio and the requirement in 2018 to register as Letting Agents, MPS Lettings Scotland LTD was established to manage our ever-growing portfolio of residential BTL properties.
In 2021, Nicky made the decision to leave her career in teaching in order to give her full focus and attention on managing and growing the rental portfolio and expanding the MPS Lettings business.
Today MacQueen Property Solutions and MPS Lettings work closely together to deliver unrivalled property maintenance and refurbishment services and property management services throughout Scotland.

MacQueen Property Solutions has grown from a small family run business to a bigger renovating company. With our sister Company, MPS Lettings, we also provide property management to landlords.
Ian MacQueen
MANAGING DIRECTOR
With a keen interest in property investments, I purchased first property when I was at University. Over time, I increased my personal portfolio of Buy to Let properties and then we started managing properties on behalf of friends and family.
As well as owning and managing properties, I was also keen to pursue all kinds of refurbishment and extension projects – having developed a substantial network of trusted suppliers and sub-contractors.
I take great pride in our businesses and I enjoy being hands-on and fully involved in our projects, thus ensuring that MacQueen Property Solutions and MPS Lettings provide the best possible service to all of our clients.
Nicky Macqueen
MANAGING DIRECTOR
I am all about the people and investing in building strong positive relationships with our staff, customers, tenants and landlords.
Leaving education in October 2021 was a big move, but having built up our our client and personal portfolio alongside my teaching career, I knew it was time to transfer this skillset into building relationships and meeting the needs of our customers, tenants and landlords.
My primary focus is on growing our personal and client property portfolio and ensuring that we provide safe, clean, high-quality and equitable housing for ALL.
Thomas riddick
MULTI-TRADE APPRENTICE
Thomas completed a successful 6 month kickstarter programme with us last year and stayed on with us to complete an SVQF level 5 Modern Apprenticeship in General Construction Operations. On completing this, he is keen to move into a more specialised apprenticeship in joinery.
He is hardworking and is a valued member of the MPS team and we look forward to watching his progress in the coming months and years.
Lee Campbell
JOINER & MULTI-TRADE
Lee provides joinery and multi-trade fit-out services having over 12 years of experience covering all aspects of carpentry and joinery doing extensions, shop fittings, refurbishments – just to name a few.
He has an excellent eye for detail and is a perfectionist at heart. He is thorough in his approach to overcoming problems, drawing on his years of experience to find solutions to technical and creative challenges. Lee is a friendly and approachable person who is happy to take the time to explain any aspect of his work and will guide you through the whole process from start to finish.
Gary McGill
PAINTER & DECORATOR
Gary joined MacQueen Property Solutions officially in 2021 but has been working closely with the team on a sub-contract basis since 2020.
Gary provides all painting and decorating services. With a well-trained eye for quality, craftsmanship, colours and finishes in both traditional and contemporary styles, you can expect a crisp & clean finish. A trustworthy professional known for his attention to detail and instinctual approach.
